Events
First Light, now in its 25th year, is an award-winning, must-see holiday event with a great lineup of family activities at Ste. Marie Among the Hurons in Midland. In 2025, this hugely popular event will be celebrated with thousands of candles, artisans and live entertainment and it will be featuring local Maple Syrup from our Simcoe Region. Included with visitor's tickets is a complimentary traditional maple shortbread snack for the first 10,000 guests! (There's just three traditional ingredients: Artisanal Maple Syrup, Butter and Flour!).
And in a dedicated beautifully decorated original building, guests will enjoy a curated Maple Syrup tasting from our local producers here in Maple Country. A warm and wonderful holiday experience to indulge in.
